A few posts back, I mentioned how Google Reader has been suggesting that I might enjoy reading the blogs of small Mormon families here in Vegas.

Well, today it suggested that I might enjoy reading the blog of a small ex-Mormon family, location unknown.

It’s learning, I suppose.

Google Reader has this neat feature, where it (supposedly) recommends new and interesting things to read based upon your prior reading habits. I say supposedly because some of the things it recommends for me are somewhat puzzling, and seem completely random.

It gives me a lot of science – and science related – blogs. That’s fine, I like science and geeky stuff. Sure, I don’t even come close to understanding some of the more high end stuff (the numbers and terms make my brain go all wonky), but it’s still a nice read once in a while.

There’s the odd assortment of random webcomics – although the majority of them are somewhat crap. I’m sorry, but it’s true: 97% of webcomics are crap, including my own aborted monster. of the remaining 3%, a full nine-tenths is Penny-Arcade, leaving a very small market for actual good, non-PA comics. I’ve found a couple, and have enjoyed them.

The remaining stuff Google throws at me? Personal blogs of small Mormon families in Las Vegas. (more…)

I don’t know what needs to be added to this horrid abomination against eyes…

I’ve had to remove both gaming sites from my RSS feed, and I’m seriously considering doing the same to Engadget. Although with the “share stories” feature in Google Reader, I might be better off just not checking at all until Friday.

Is it too much to ask that I be able to just play the god damn game and not know EVERYTHING about it beforehand?

Video was shared by the Spook via Google Reader, and I have to thank him for it.
However, I happen to think it’s a rather catchy tune, and as such must rate this as being 85% Awesome and only 15% Phail.
