To day I did something rather rash – or at least foolhardy. Maybe just geeky in a funny sort of way. Basically, I paid good money for an out of date, obsolete piece of electronics.

I give you, my new workstation:


Okay, it’s not new, not by a long shot. And it hardly qualifies as a workstation. But, it *does* work, and it *is* mine, so that has to count for something.

I figure I can now finally play the Hithhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Infocom game the way it was meant to be played, and I can even write about it afterwards… In a dead file format, on a system that can’t talk to the outside world and will only save to media that no one makes or uses anymore.

But, brightside: The NSA ain’t gonna get anything out of this baby.
